Synopsis

Resurrection is a fantastic genre movie in alignment with the so-called gothic terror. Set in Buenos Aires in 1871 during the plague, tackles the man fear towards the chaos of death. The main character is a young priest who, driven by his missionary feelings, leaves towards the Capital City in order to assist victims and sick people with the plague. But, a few kilometers before arriving Buenos Aires, he stops by his brother’s farm and finds his family infected and the house almost abandoned. A series of unexpected events corner him in that place and make him doubt of his first mission’s true meaning, his ethic beliefs and finally, his faith. “Resurrection” elaborates the existential conflict which comes from the man’s anguish when facing death, chaos and cruel shaking suffering of the plague.
