Synopsis
From the fictional ground, The Clairvoyant’s Prayer establishes a hypothesis on the real, disturbing and never solved police case of the “Crazy man on the road” (“Loco de la Ruta”). Between 1996 and 1998, in Mar del Plata, there’s been a series of murders. All the victims were prostitutes. Some of the bodies were found with the word “whore” marked on their skins. In this scenario, and still not knowing he will be facing a chain of crimes, political and police pressure, “El Vasco” Bilbao, police detective, would wish never to have obsessed with this case. However, his strong stubborn personality (a purebred film noir character) will lead him to seek for the truth. The journalist covering the case, Riveros, and Mauro, a blind clairvoyant who assures he can “see” the killer will be a part of this road in which El Vasco, debating himself between rationality and mysticism, will find hell in the seaside city. The Clairvoyant’s Prayer is an Argentine police film noir and has received vast acceptance from the audience and the critics.
